Solar is a form of distributed energy, meaning the power is produced at the location it’s consumed. This concept is the driving force for the cost savings and positive environmental impact that solar brings.
The next generation of home energy is here
The energy produced by the solar panels is first used to meet the immediate needs of the home’s energy consumption. Any surplus flows through the meter and back out to the grid. The meter keeps track of this flow of energy in & out, and records a ‘credit’ for the surplus that flows out to the grid. Thus, Net Metering allows you to use credits at night and in the winter when your solar production is less.
Solar panels produce DC current, but your home uses AC current. Inverters are the brains of the system that invert that energy from DC to AC, and allow you to monitor the system’s production over time. Using this technology allows up to track ups & downs, and immediately identify problems.
Of course, having a roof, or open space area (for a ground-mount array) on your property that receives regular sunlight is essential. While you may be looking at the trees shading your roof thinking that it’s not worth it, you would be surprised; the production estimates are calculated using year-round daylight hours, which have a varying sun-path. Those trees may have an impact some months of the year, but other months, they don’t have any effect.
While removing and re-attaching solar is easy enough, and often part of the solar journey, we want to avoid putting solar on a roof with visible damage, or that’s near the end of it’s life. We solve this by bundling the roof+solar at a discount with our roofing partner.
Our core values guide our daily operations. We stand by our work with an unrivaled commitment to our high standards, and never turn our backs on our customers. To our knowledge, customer satisfaction is 100%, and we plan on keeping it that way. We see the solar journey as an ongoing relationship that doesn’t end after the project is installed. We’re a service provider, which means we’re going to be around for support & guidance for years to come.
